• The Worship team will meet at the church at 6:00 pm.  All interested are welcomed to attend.

Tuesday

• Active Listeners will meet in the church library at 10:00 am
• The quilt and sew group will meet in fellowship hall at 1:00 pm.  If you have sewing and craft projects of just about any kind you are welcome to join us and bring your project.

Thursday

• UMW officers will meet at the church at 10:00 am
• The Board of Trustees will meet in the church library at 7:00 pm.

Next Sunday

• There will be a fireside worship service at 5:30 pm.

Robert Mumford will be coming back to direct our church choir.  Choir practice will begin on August 19th at 6:30 pm.  All are welcomed

For the month of August we are collecting peanut butter and/or jelly for Community House.  Bring your donation at any time and place it in “Jane Wagon”.

The Worth family is collecting school supplies (spiral notebooks, pencils, erasers and pencil bags) and will send them to their son Eric who in the U.S. Marines currently serving in Afghanistan.

Another opportunity to provide school supplies next week.  John Hemrich made the announcement in worship that on August 11 from 5:00-8:00 pm  Burgerville will donate 10% of their sales to purchase school supplies for local foster families.

Monday

• Disciple Bible will meet in Pastor Jerry’s office at 6:30 pm

Wednesday

• Disciple Bible study will meet in the Pastor’s office at 10:00 am  Don Christensen will teach both classes in Jerry’s absence
• Choir practice in the sanctuary at 6:30 pm

Wednesday through Friday

• Scout troop 516 will be setting up in the fellowship hall for their rummage sale.  They will be at the church each evening.

Saturday

• Troop 516 rummage sale.

Sunday

• We will begin the study “Claiming the Promise”.  The study will continue for 6 to 7 weeks.

We took 620 disposable diapers to Community house, these were collected in the month of April.   We will be collecting coffee creamer for the month of May.

• PFLAG meets in the fellowship hall at 7:00 pm

Tuesday

• Disciple Bible Study meets at Pastor Jerry’s home at 6:30 pm
• Ocean Park site Advisory Team will meet in the fellowship hall at 7:00 pm.  This involves a few of our church members but others are welcome to attend.  It’s a good way to learn more about our church camp.

Wednesday

• Edith Allen Circle will meet at Mona Petersen’s home at 11:30 am for a potluck lunch.
• There will be no choir practice this week.

Friday

• We’ll be setting up for Saturday’s Spring Tea.

Saturday

• The UMW Spring Tea will be in the fellowship hall beginning at 11:30 am.  Master Gardener Sara Brown will be the featured speaker .  Look for an entertaining talk on growing fruits and vegetables even in small spaces, don’t be surprised if you hear the words “Victory Garden”.   Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

A few reminders,

We have a very few people that have signed up to serve as greeters, ushers, to provide flowers for the altar for worship service and to host fellowship time after the service.  There are sign up list available in the hall across from the office.  These are important parts of the Sunday morning worship experience.

Tickets are available for the Medieval feast at the church on April 25th.  Price of the tickets is $12.50.

We have a pretty good wagon full of disposable diapers for Community House.  There are two more Sunday’s in April – let’s see if we can get the pile higher than the communion table by the end if the month.

• UMW in the Fellowship Hall at 12 noon.  We will start with a potluck lunch, have a brief meeting and then there will be a guest speaker from Longview Library.

• Spring cleaning of the church grounds 9:00 am to noon

The month of April we will be collecting disposable diapers for community house.  Any size above new born will be welcomed.

Tickets are on sale for two special events coming up shortly following Easter.  The UMW Spring Tea will be Saturday April 18th at 11:30 am.  tickets are $7.50 through April 10th and $10.00 at the door.

There will be a Medieval Feast on Saturday April 25th.  It promises  to be a spectacular evening with lots of food and entertainment.  Tickets are $12.50.  Profits will benefit the church’s education fund.
