Monday

PFLAG meets in the fellowship hall at 7:00 pm

Tuesday

Disciple Bible Study meets at Pastor Jerry’s home at 6:30 pm
Ocean Park site Advisory Team will meet in the fellowship hall at 7:00 pm. This involves a few of our church members but others are welcome to attend. It’s a good way to learn more about our church camp.

Wednesday

Edith Allen Circle will meet at Mona Petersen’s home at 11:30 am for a potluck lunch.
There will be no choir practice this week.

Friday

We’ll be setting up for Saturday’s Spring Tea.

Saturday

The UMW Spring Tea will be in the fellowship hall beginning at 11:30 am. Master Gardener Sara Brown will be the featured speaker . Look for an entertaining talk on growing fruits and vegetables even in small spaces, don’t be surprised if you hear the words “Victory Garden”. Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

A few reminders,

We have a very few people that have signed up to serve as greeters, ushers, to provide flowers for the altar for worship service and to host fellowship time after the service. There are sign up list available in the hall across from the office. These are important parts of the Sunday morning worship experience.

Tickets are available for the Medieval feast at the church on April 25th. Price of the tickets is $12.50.

We have a pretty good wagon full of disposable diapers for Community House. There are two more Sunday’s in April – let’s see if we can get the pile higher than the communion table by the end if the month.

OUR PASSION FOR JUSTICE: SONGS OF LOVE & JUSTICE

Do you have a passion for music? Do you have a passion for Social Justice? Our Passion for Justice will be this Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Vancouver Heights UMC.

This year we are honored to have Jim & Jean Strathdee leading the workshop. Jim and Jean have been writing and leading songs that stir the heart and move the feet for more than 30 years. There will also be a fare share lunch served. Registration is $12 per person.

Announcement ~ October 26th Potluck

Join us after church on Sunday, October 26th for our monthly potluck. This month will feature a Halloween theme and fall celebration. Everyone is invited to wear a non-violent costume and enjoy the party. In addition to a normal potluck dish, please consider bringing the following:

candy
decorations
sugar cookies (for decorating)

We look forward to a fun afternoon of fellowship and fabulous food.
