A couple of events coming soon:
A new adult study will begin Tuesday January 12th and continue for 6 weeks. Jerry and Shannon Hemrich will lead a study on the book “The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief”. This looks like a very interesting study. There is no size limit for this study since it is being held at the church and there is plenty of room. Jerry’s email last week gave some suggestions for where to get your copy of the book.
United Methodist missionary to Tonga, Mary Kelley will be with us Thursday January 21st. We will have a potluck supper with her beginning at 5:30, after which she’ll share about her work in Tonga. Our church, through our Missions Team, has been giving support to Mary Kelly for the last several years. Last year’s Easter brunch proceeds were designated to her as will this year’s Valentine banquet. Be sure to plan to be here to learn about what our support has done in this far-away land.
We should expect word soon on when (and exactly where) the new sewer line will be dug. You should have received email from Pastor Jerry last week regarding this big issue. Help will be needed! Please contact Pastor Jerry of Trustee chair Brad Euren if you are able to help. It is probably a matter of “call them before they call you”!
